Problem

The site required Rainwater Harvesting. The good news is that the site has a huge potential to capture the rainwater to store and reuse as well as recharge the groundwater.

Solution

Rainwater Recharge: We created 3 modular injection bores with pits and ecological channels/gutter channels are given as intervention. The water from the site and rooftops is channelized by these ecological channels, filtered, and flowed to the modular recharge pits with bores to recharge groundwater aquifers.


Rainwater Storage: We provided modular storage water tanks of volume 25 cu meter to store rainwater. The rainwater collected from the rooftops of the villa is channelized, filtered, and let into the modular storage sump. This water can be reused for secondary purposes such as gardening and other utilities. Modular pits are better than conventional pits as the area above the pit can be repurposed for parking, lawn etc, and has little to no maintenance.
