Today, more than one in 10 people around the globe do not have access to clean and fresh drinking water. By 2050, this number is expected to rise to one in every four. The demand for water in the world is increasing and Hyderabad is expected to be one of the cities that will run out of groundwater by 2050, as per Niti Aayog. On the other hand, our water tables are falling rapidly. Our lakes, wells and reservoirs are drying up. Our groundwater is getting polluted. Rainfall patterns are changing around the world, changing the water demography. These are grave predictions. The future looks dry and parched.

The Sucess Stories

We have 300 students in our school. Every year we had to call for water tankers, as we did not have Manjeera water connection and our borewell was also dry. But thanks to The Rainwater Project, our school is now water positive. We are extremely grateful to The Rainwater Project for selecting our school to implement these measures. It is also a real-life lesson that we can teach our students.

We own a 10-acre farm. Come summer and we had to call for tankers. But ever since we got The Rainwater Project to help us with our water management, they have transformed water availability at our farm and the need for tankers has significantly alleviated, saving us a lot of money. The team was competent through the entire process from site survey to providing economical solutions to executing the project. I strongly recommend them to all those who are interested in rainwater conservation.

In the summers, we were dependant on water tankers for our daily needs. And then we appointed The Rainwater Project to help us out with rainwater harvesting. As a result, our borewells are now flush and supplying plenty of water, even through the harsh summers of Hyderabad. The team is very professional, and I would strongly recommend to other property owners.

We rely on our borewell and the municipality water supply. However, the borewell dried up in the summer, resulting in water scarcity. That’s when I approached my old friend Kalpana Ramesh and asked her for a solution to this problem. She and her team gave me a very precise and detailed plan and estimate. And I was pleasantly surprised to see that the estimate was much lower than what I had expected. Now we have water supply 24x7, 365 days a year. The Rainwater Project has an extremely professional and capable team, right from the masons and technicians who worked on the site to the designers and engineers who designed the entire solution. They provide value for money, and more than that we are now water sufficient in a sustainable way.
