Problem

The rainwater flows to the roads and drains, instead of getting collected or going into the ground.

Solution

Rainwater Harvesting: The simplest and best solution here is to tap rooftop rainwater, filter and store it for reuse later.

To achieve this, we connected the down take pipes from the roofs which are interconnected to an Inline Filter. After the first flush/rainfall of the season, the outlet of the inline filter is connected to the sump/water tank where water is stored. This water can be used for domestic purposes, such as flushing toilets, washing clothes and gardening, etc.

The advantage of an inline filter is that one need not open the tank just to clean the filter. It can be easily removed, washed and re-inserted.
