Annual Rainwater Potential

1,750,000 litres

Problem

The site is located on rocky terrain. The inhabitants face water shortage as the existing borewell is inefficient. They are dependent on water tankers.

Solution

Rainwater Harvesting: Based on the site conditions with VES testing  we identified a good source point for creating an injection bore. We built recharge pits around the bore points to avoid dry up in future. The silt from the rooftop water gets desilted in the silt chamber and then the overflow water is directed to the existing sump for further usage.

Result

By implementing rainwater harvesting techniques in this site, reduces the dependency on tankers by making effective use of water from the annual rainfall.
