Solution

To enhance rainwater management and groundwater recharge, it is recommended to install a bioswale along the northern pathway along with multiple injection borewells. On the south side, behind the house, a rainwater harvesting (RWH) sump should be constructed and connected to all rooftop downpipes. The overflow from the sump will be directed to the injection borewells for recharge. Additionally, gutters should be installed along the asbestos sheet roofing to collect rainwater, which will flow into a recharge pit (4 feet in diameter and 10 feet deep). From there, water will be routed to the injection borewell to facilitate efficient percolation and aquifer recharge.
